Namibia Travel Guide
Namibia is a huge country with a tiny population. In fact, it’s the second-least densely populated country in the world.
Located on the South-West coast of Africa, the majority of Namibia is made up of vast, arid deserts. Here you’ll find spectacular desert scenery, and some of the tallest sand dunes in the world.
It’s not all desert, though. Etosha National Park is home to large numbers of lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, elephant, giraffe and antelope.
Fish River Canyon is the second largest in the world, after the Grand Canyon. And the Caprivi Strip, in the north of the country, is a corridor of lush vegetation sandwiched between Angola, Zambia and Botswana.
This truly is a land of wide open spaces, diverse nature and untouched, unique landscapes. There are also countless opportunities for epic bush camping – you’ll likely be the only person for miles around, under a canopy of millions of stars.
Namibia is a very safe, stable and easy country to travel around independently. If you like the sound of “getting away from it all”, surrounded by stunning scenery, Namibia is the perfect destination for you.
