My Favourite Photos of Israel to Inspire Your Next Adventure
In Israel, every story has multiple layers. Different perspectives. Different ways of being told.
Despite the ongoing political challenges, Israel is a land where different cultures and faiths often coexist – and indeed thrive – in harmony. It’s a place where history and modernity intertwine.
For a small country, it manages to pack in an extraordinary amount.
Jerusalem is one of the oldest and most important cities in the world. This ancient place is packed with important sites, like the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Walking through the Old City feels like being transported back in time. It’s a living, breathing museum.
You can feel the weight of thousands of years of history pressing in from every side.
The solemnity of the prayers, the soft murmurs of different languages, and the sheer significance of the place left me humbled and deeply moved.
Less than an hour’s drive away, Tel Aviv offers a completely different experience.
With its buzzing nightlife, sandy beaches, and innovative food scene, it’s a liberal, tolerant, fun-loving city that’s effortlessly modern and cool.
Beyond the cities, Israel’s landscapes are incredibly varied. Floating in the salty waters of the Dead Sea is unforgettable, and hiking in the Negev Desert reveals vast, otherworldly beauty.
The Sea of Galilee and the lush Golan Heights provide a peaceful escape, while the Red Sea in Eilat is perfect for snorkelling and diving.
Israel is a fascinating country, and one that everybody should visit at least once.

I always use Booking.com to find the best hotel deals. Vrbo is great for short-term apartments.
🚗 Find cheap rental cars
Check both Discover Cars and Rentalcars.com to find cheap rental cars.
🌍 Book the best tours

✈️ Find cheap flights

📱 eSIMs
Airalo is my favourite travel eSIM provider – I’ve used it in over 10 countries and really rate it. So much easier than buying physical SIM cards when you travel!
🚑 Do I need travel insurance?
YES! Never travel without adequate travel insurance. It’s just not worth the risk.
• SafetyWing – if you’re a digital nomad like me, SafetyWing is super flexible and affordable. You can sign up for as little or as long as you want, and activate and deactivate it whenever you need to. I’ve made several claims in the last few years and thoroughly recommend this company.
• World Nomads – for adventurous travellers, covers 200+ activities that many other insurers won’t, such as skydiving, heli-skiing, rock climbing, rafting, scuba diving, cliff jumping, and kiteboarding (not available for residents of every country – check here).
💻 Do I need a VPN?
YES! Always use a VPN when using public WiFi (in airports, cafes, hotels, stations, etc.). This helps protect your personal information and also bypasses internet censorship and restrictions in certain countries. I use NordVPN and highly recommend it.
